Update

Great news. My office is built. The flooring is being laid on thursday and it's being decorated next week. The phone line is now live and all I need is a connection and Broadband and I'm in!!

I've now been in a temporary office for exactly two years. The term "Temporary" is to be taken loosely.

New business is building up a head of steam. My next challenge is to get up to full speed and then get some staff.

It's going to be a busy year!!!

Lets Hope so

I've never been able to understand why January is such a slow month for me. I come back from the Christmas break, full of good intentions, ready to take on the world and find myself in a sort of limbo land. No one seems to be switched on until the second week in January, when things tend to start getting back to normal.
I've spoken to several adviser friends and they all appear to be in a similar situation. I suppose it's a good time to get up to date with paperwork ect. and get planning for the coming year. I have every confidence that tthis is going to be a landmark year for me. I should be in my new office in the next few weeks and I can settle down to business with slightly less distractions!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year

This is my first official day back at work after the Christmas and New Year holiday. I have popped in to the office a couple of times but I didn’t seem to get an awful lot done. It’s been far too cold here to think straight. I’m in a temporary office at the moment awaiting the completion of my new extension. I will then have a separate office at home which will make things a whole lot easier.

My goals for this year are-

  1. Get new office completed and fully up and running as soon as possible.

  2. Get a professional website for my business and explore online business opportunities.

  3. Employ a professional assistant. Especially to manage my diary and client banks. Leaving me with more client facing time.

  4. Employ 2 new advisers to service some of my client banks and generate additional revenue.

I will post my progress in these areas as I go along.
