I'm just coming to the end of my third year in business. It's been the most trying three years of my life. Not only because of the new business, my personal life has experienced more than it's share of turbulence. Things are now on a pretty even keel so it's time to buckle down and take things to the next level.
I'm reading "Anyone can do it" by Sahar and Bobby Hashemi. It was delivered yesterday by Amazon and I'm just about half way through it. It is a guide to starting a new business and they use their own start up company Coffee Republic as an ongoing case study. All in all a very good read.

I'm in the process of writing a business plan for next year. I wrote one when I first started the company but I've just drifted along for the last two years. It's time to focus.

Hello and welcome to my other Blog. This one is dedicated to the daily tribulations of running my own Financial Services business.

I intend it to be more about the actual day to day stresses, strains, highs and joys of being my own boss. I don't intend to dwell too much on the pros and cons of Stakeholder pensions etc. That might be just too dull. I believe running a business and being in control of your own destiny may be many things. Dull should never be one of them.
